Workshops

Harriet runs workshops and training courses in the North East of England with the aim of making sex, sexual health and relationships easier to talk about and less fraught with embarrassment and shame. She takes a pleasure-based approach to talking about sex and sexual health, and the workshops she runs are participatory and fun.

You can find out more about upcoming workshops on this page.

Sex and Pleasure: an empowering workshop for women

This fun and engaging workshop helps to shed some of the shame and embarrassment that can hinder us in identifying our needs and asking for what we want.

Harriet is running this workshop in a carefully selected range of venues across Newcastle and the North East region in 2024, each with unique qualities that bring something different to the experience of the workshop.

Each of the workshops is limited to a small group size, so that we can generate a safe and nurturing space to explore topics that some of us can find awkward, taboo, upsetting or embarrassing.

We explore our relationships with our bodies and what our bodies enjoy, the messages we have been absorbing through our lives about how women* and girls are ‘supposed’ to be and we aim to get in touch with what we actually want in our sexual lives, whether solo or with partners.

It is a chance to discuss the changes that we go through in our life course, to learn more about desire, arousal, pleasure and sex and to build some confidence in asking for what we want.

*Due to the nature of the workshop and the issues we will be discussing, this is aimed at women and non-binary folk who were assigned female at birth. Please contact me if you are not in these groups and are interested in a workshop as I am developing new courses and workshops for the new year.
